Wyoming's Grand Teton Mountain Range shows off Cascade Canyon Turnout Sign - Grand Tetons National Park, Moose, Wyoming some of the most spectacular mountain scenery found throughout the world. Rivaling the Swiss Alps, this mountain range is seen from the east without ordinary foothills of most landscapes, and the magnificent range here towers over Jackson Hole and the Grand Tetons National Park. The majority of park spectators look at these mountain wonders from the paved park roads which follow the valley and the Snake River. An increasing number of visitors explore the park on casual day hikes to the park's main attractions. Some of the more adventurous set out for the pristine mountain slopes, among the towering mountain Cascade Canyon and Teton Range - Grand Tetons National Park, Wyoming ridges and deep canyons.
In this magnificent view of Cascade Canyon, seen here as a significant break in the mountain range, summer wildflowers brighten the sagebrush valley with the jagged peaks of the Tetons attracting all the attention. From this roadside turnout, with its colorful foreground, remnants of the Schoolroom Glacier are barely seen, awaiting winter to replenish its fading significance. Alpine conditions along the upper elevations are harsh during winter, with deep snow, sub-zero temperatures and wind whipping through the canyon at incredible speeds.
