Beverly Harbor

Beverly Harbor

The town of Beverly is just north of a wide swath that the Danvers, a tidal river, cuts through as flows toward Massachusetts Bay. The Danvers River and the Beverly Harbor make up a natural port and it's easy to understand why this was the first area to be settled. The city was established in 1626 and has been called the birthplace of the United States Navy.
The town's roots are connected with the riches and access from the Atlantic Ocean and today, visitors and residents still enjoy the beauty of the bay area. Boats tie up at the harbor ferryway and enjoy lunch there, or some relish fishing from the Capozza Pier.
