Getting away from it all, to some, actually meant getting away from the lawman. At the Roost, not quite a plush hotel, but there there are not complaints about the view. A trip to Robbers Roost will take you about 20 miles south of Sedona. Visiting may require some intricate details, but getting there is always half the fun.
This Picture of the Day shows off Arizona's red rock countryside. At the ruins site, nestled into a cliffside, is a large 20 by 40 foot room, topped off with an almost circular picture window. The cattle rustlers and robbers are gone, but desert critters may still be lurking in this secret hide-away.
