Honeymoon Covered Bridge

Honeymoon Covered Bridge

Photos by Ben Prepelka

Honeymoon BridgeResidents, from miles around Jackson, gather together annually for June's covered bridge dance. This old fashion day of fun centers around the famous Honeymoon Covered Bridge.
The Jackson covered bridge stretches 120 feet across the Ellis River and features a paddleford truss style, first designed by Littleton's Peter Paddleford. The 16 foot widened roadbed refurbishment dates back to 1939. The New Hampshire bridge is one of 26 White Mountain area covered bridges, and one of 60 plus bridges found throughout the state.
