Springtime in northern Georgia brings out the best in mountain wildflowers, fruit trees in blossom and the delicate greens of new leaves. Mid April not only breeds some bad cases of spring fever, but the sweet scent of flowering blooms as well. Georgia's back roads are covered in white and pink dogwood, redbud, and rhododendron. In this time of rebirth birds become quite active and vocal. Honey bees drone around myriads of buds and blooms, and visitors are making the most of this Blue Ridge Mountain country during their spring break.
