From the quaint little town of Occidental, California, Coleman Valley Road climbs up and over the Coast Mountain Range. It then descends sharply and heads toward Highway 1 and the towns of Salmon Creek and Sereno Del Mar on the coast. Along this steep and challenging route, the views are spectacular. Atop the Coastals, one can view the Pacific as well as the inland Sonoma Valley. This section of the valley route features a scenic, narrow lane that's lined with a group of distinctive, wind battered trees.
