More than 28 million students visited Carlsbad National Park this past April 25th. These school children didn't actually pack into the park, but they enjoyed a virtual visit. Ball State University and Best Buy Children's Foundation, in conjunction with the National Parks Service put together four new electronic field trips for this year.
One of last year's trips, featuring the Grand Canyon (pictured here - a view from the North Rim), enriched the lives of 13 million participants. These electronic programs reach children that may never be able to visit a national park.
