Henderson Beach State Park

Henderson Beach

The state of Florida initiated a new land conservation program in 1981, and the under the new law the first purchase of private land was 6,000 feet of beautiful panhandle shoreline in Destin. Today, the Henderson Beach State Park protects a scarce segment of Gulf beaches that had remained in a natural condition. The park is great addition to the state park system, offering limited public access to a picture perfect seascape. The beach's appearance equals the sugar sands of Siesta Key and the turquoise waters surrounding the Bahamas.
Henderson Park is setup with enhanced boardwalk access, large pavilions, a playground, camping facilities and a nature trail. Beachside bathhouses and showers accommodate sun-loving guests on this dazzling shoreline, a gem of the Emerald Coast.
