Young Fisherman

Young Fisherman

This young fisherman patiently awaits a telltale nibble, as the sun quickly sets on Tigertail Beach lagoon. The beach area in the background is locally known as Shell Island and is a part of a peninsula, shaped as a tiger's tail, that separates the Gulf of Mexico from Marco Island.
Marco Island, named by Spanish explorers, is the largest of the Ten Thousand Islands and is located in southwest Florida's Collier County and is surrounded by the waters of the Gulf. The spectacular white sand beaches and clear, calm gulf waters make this Florida's last paradise.
