Spring Equinox

Spring Equinox

This perspective of Central Florida's high voltage power transmission lines seems to be a modern day Stonehenge. Twice a year, during the fall (autumnal) and spring equinox (vernal), the setting sun drops behind this set of power poles.
The power hungry town of Orlando receives supplemental electricity from multiple east coast facilities, fueled by natural gas and oil. Alternate power sources will soon be needed, as the point of the world's peak oil production will soon pass.
