Mirror Lake

Mirror Lake

Heading east out of Kamas along Utah's Route 150, travelers set off to the Uinta National Forest and over one of the highest paved roads in Utah. Turning north toward Wyoming, the highway skirts the Uinta Wilderness and the Unita Mountains. This popular summer drive leads to camping, fishing, hiking and miles of scenic landscapes. To the west of Mount LaMotte (12,720 feet) lies a popular recreation area, including Mirror Lake and the Weber River.
This scenic route, touching the edge of the Uinta Wilderness, offers a glimpse at one of the most pristine wilderness areas in the United States. The 65 mile stretch shows off spectacular mountain views, abundant wildlife and over 400 picturesque mountain lakes.
