Valley Drive

Valley Drive

Taking a leisurely drive along this winding gravel road, through Valley of the Gods, stirs some strong feelings of Utah's magnificence. Imposing beauty surrounds the 22 mile valley road. The valley lies at the base of Cedar Mesa and provides an inspiring trip through majestic red sandstone buttes and spires.
There are no tour guides, no crowds, no visitor's center, just beautiful red rock vistas. On the east side of the valley you must cross a shallow wash for access from U.S. Route 163. There are pullouts along the valley roadside where you may see an occasional car.
