Delicate Arch

Delicate Arch

It may be its fragile form, or the way it sits up on its slickrock pedestal, or perhaps it's the reward after a long, uphill climb; but whichever the case may be, Delicate Arch remains the main attraction in Arches National Park. Out of 2,000 natural occurring arches in the park, Delicate Arch is by far the most popular. The one and a half mile hike takes visitors across greasewood flats, up a broad slickrock mountain face and around a very narrow, chiseled pathway to see this marvelous natural work of art. Utah's majestic La Sal Mountains provide a perfect background for this wondrous setting.
At Arches Park, a 40 mile scenic drive weaves its way through 73,000 acres, offering close-up views of a great portion of the park's sandstone features. Hiking routes provide more challenges for the ambitious sightseers, wanting to take in the park's remote monoliths.
