Caxambas Pass

Caxambas Pass

This sleek catamaran zips by Caxambas Pass, Marco Island, Florida. Its multi-hull, without a heavily weighted keel, makes this craft prone to capsize. This stiff March wind makes for an exciting, fun filled excursion. A fast acting crew must keep the sails properly trimmed. A mono-hulled sailboat utilizes a heavily weight keel to counteracting the strong force of wind gusts. Unlike this catamaran, the sailboat it can right itself when overturned due to the heavy amount of ballast.
Year round moderate temperatures, pristine white sand beaches and sparkling waters are the ingredients for a vacation of fun on the Gulf of Mexico.
