Sea of Sin

Sea of Sin

This rusted old coupe couldn't be a more fitting prop as it is coupled with Bodie's ghost town in the background. Bodie is one of the most extensive historic towns in the United States and at one time housed over 10,000 people. Wildfires reduced the town, sometimes referred to as a sea of sin, to today's count of 170 buildings.
As a tourist town, Bodie's popularity increased, and in 1962, the state of California declared it a Historical State Park. This old mining town, northeast of Yosemite, is loaded with fascinating relics, historic buildings, as well as ghosts from the past.
