An International Invitation Exhibition of Sculpture was found along Sarasota's Bayfront Park. The year's (2006) works of art included 25 large-scale sculptures, enhancing the appeal of this Florida city.
Pictured here is J. Seward Johnson's art work of an American Sailor and Nurse, a representation of the celebrated Life photo by Alfred Eisenstaedt. The world famous, black and white photograph was taken in New York's Times Square as thousands cheered the United States' victory over Japan.
