Teton Mountain Range

Teton Mountain Range

Grand Teton National Park, just south of Yellowstone, continues to impressed visitors with an unrivaled sight of the Teton Mountain Range. The Grand Teton, tallest of all, seemingly rises straight up, 13,770 feet from the valley floor and creates a majestic appearance.
Connecting Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks is the John D. Rockefeller Jr. Highway, creating a tribute to the generosity and vision of this philanthropist. Rockefeller has also made significant contributions to aid the Acadia, Great Smokey Mountains and Virgin Islands National Parks. Today, millions of visitors benefit from the foresight of John D. Rockefeller.
In this Picture of the Day, a storm front passes through Wyoming, bringing unsettled weather. This cloud band creates a dramatic sky over the towering Teton Range. Surely, for these eye witnesses, this wonderful landscape scene will leave a lasting impression.
