North Ridge trail leads to the top of Angel Island, offering 360 degree views of San Francisco Bay. At the top sits Mount Livermore, rising 788 feet. Here, visitors can view the Golden Gate Bridge, Sausalito, Alcatraz and the little town of Tiburon.
Angel Island State Park is only accessed by public ferry service. Tram tours around the island provide a look into the island's lengthy history. Deer and raccoons, the best swimmers, are the only large animals on the island. A wide variety of birds make this woodland habitat their home.
