When Canyonlands National Park opened forty years ago, the majority of the park was wild and unexplored. Today, the area remains rugged and untamed, with plenty for visitors to see and explore.
This unbelievable view from Grand View Point Overlook features the confluence point of the Green and Colorado Rivers. A primitive 100 mile loop, the White Rim Trail, takes in most of the Island of the Sky District and offers two days of amazing four wheel drive views and experiences. For those not wild for four-wheeling, there are miles of sights, overlooks, and mild hiking trails accessed from the paved highway.
