Deep Creek

Deep Creek

Nothing can feel better during a hot summer day than cool water from a mountain stream. Deep Creek flows down from the Smoky Mountains and provides Bryson residents and visitors hours of cool entertainment. Tubing on Deep Creek, nature's best water ride, is extremely popular as the stream provides varied speeds of water flow. Pictured here is Upper Deep Creek as its whitewater flows out of the Deep Creek Gorge.
This area is interlaced with hiking trails that lead to some of the area's picturesque waterfalls. Horseback riding, camping and swimming spell summer fun along the trails of the Great Smoky National Park. For those looking for more adventure and wanting to kick it up a notch, true whitewater rafting on the Nanatahala and Ocoee Rivers is found nearby. These rafting trips are offered for most levels, Class I to IV.
