Tetons Trip Report

Wyoming's Grand Teton Mountain Range shows off some of the most spectacular scenery found throughout the world. The majority of spectators view the mountain chain from ground level, along the paved park roads. An increasing amount of visitors take casual day hikes to nearby features. Some of the more adventurous set out for the pristine mountain slopes, deep into park territory.
In this magnificent view, hikers look out from the North Fork of Cascade Canyon. Having made their way through Paintbrush Divide (10,700 feet) and by Lake Solitude, this remarkable view appears from an alpine meadow. The high altitude viewpoint is dressed up with a variety of wildflowers, creating a tranquil setting. In the distance, beyond the U-shaped valley, looms the Cathedral Group; Teewi, Mount Owens and Grand Teton.
