Eagle Falls

     Park personnel are happy to point visitors toward one of the premier trails in Cumberland Falls State Resort Park. Although it's a short hike, trail #9 can be somewhat challenging. The tight pathway leads alongside spectacular sandstone cliffs, high above the Cumberland River. The trail heads to close-up views of the beautiful Eagle Falls. Occasionally, the Cumberland River is swollen, submerging this falls trail. Trail #9 Sign
     Spectacular views of the Cumberland Falls along trail # 9 are the bonus of this hike. Several viewpoints along the way give visitors great photo ops of the Cumberland River and the park's centerpiece.
     Cumberland Falls Park is not only surrounded by scenic beauty, but its amenities are top notch. The DuPont Lodge and dining room offer great views and all the comforts of home.
