The old Ebenezer Covered Bridge graces Mingo Creek Park with its quaint, short span. This popular Washington County bridge replaced an earlier bridge and required some modifications to fit the old bridge abutments. Unfortunately, not much is known about Ebenezer's lineage and a guess puts its age at 120 years.
     During the first week of the fall season, southwestern Pennsylvania's annual Covered Bridge Festival kicks off. This nostalgic two day event invites participants to visit Pennsylvania's covered bridges. The Greene and Washington County's festivities draw attention to a handful of their remaining bridges. Statewide, there are still 212 of these historic treasures.
