   The Oak Creek Canyon area, Arizona's hiking paradise, is designated as Federal wilderness land and features over 30 hiking trails. For those seeking beauty, solitude and good old fashion adventure, the Red Rock Secret Mountain, Munds Mountain and Sycamore Canyon wilderness areas are a short distance from Sedona and Flagstaff. Devils Natural Bridge - Red Rock District, Sedona, Arizona The wilderness areas are inaccessible to motorized vehicles as well as mountain biking, making it a little safer for avid hikers. A great emphasis is placed on retention of the land's pristine beauty, wild landscapes and fragile desert environment and hikers are asked to leave only footprints. Rated from easy to strenuous, trails are designed to fit various levels of expertise. Be sure to check area hiking guides to determine if the trail is the right fit.
   One of the area's natural landmarks, Devils Natural Bridge is found a few miles from Route 89A and Dry Creek Road. The natural bridge is just one of the interesting sites found in the Red Rock District of Sedona. The shortest hike to Devils Bridge requires 4WD access, but two other routes are suggested for hikers that require a longer hike. It's often suggest to begin at the Mescal Trailhead via Chuck Wagon Trail. In this area the trails are well marked and very popuar. This area is filled many more attractions for your outdoor desert exploration.
